I was reading the paper yesterday and I couldn’t believe my eyes when I read that Dutch Director, Tom Six's sequel to his horror flick the Centipede had been banned. The British Board of Film Classification refused to award it with an 18 certificate as they said that the film could "harm viewers". It has been dubbed "the sickest movie of all time" and considering in the first Centipede, a scientist (obviously cuckoo) was seen to be stitching the bodies of his kidnap victims together. Some cinema goers were physically sick from these scenes out of the first film. I really want to see Centipede 2, just for the fact that it has been banned (and im a morbid soul at heart). What did the BBFC deem so terrible that is was unfit for UK release? Tom Six has claimed that his film is "art" and his first film is like watching a children’s show compared to the sequel. All films are art and should be shown. A Clockwork Orange was banned and now that is one of the must-see films of all time. Give it a couple of years and Centipede 2 will be available in the UK. Happy Viewing bloggers
