Coronation Street and Eastenders, Easy to get a Job

It seems to be so easy to get a job in the soaps (unless your Xin or Billy Mitchell) unlike in real life. Finding the job you want, in the area you need, with the right hours to still do the school run... impossible at the minute. Thats another thing. They seem to leave thier kids with anyone, and the kids dont seem to be with the parents at all. When was the last time we actually saw a scene with Maria;s baby?
